Everyone that plays online poker knows that the shuffling algorithms are controlled by a series of computer generated codes. It is those codes that ultimately cause the unbelievable poker bad beats and suckouts so commonly seen online.
While many debate the theories of ‘is online poker rigged?’ The fact stands that with the lack of true randomness and the intervention of a computer program there will always be flaws in the RNG (Random Number Generator).
One of the biggest secrets behind the Full Tilt Poker RNG is the fact that additional algorithms are added into the poker software to help Full Tilt catch cheaters and colluders.
When Absolutre Poker was caught up in a cheating scandal a few years ago involving a professional poker player and an employee of the company, many of the online poker sites included certain algorithms to detect colluders and cheaters. One of these algorithms was to prevent a single person from winning multiple pots.
This particular poker algorithm was set to eliminate a person dominating a poker tournament or cash game and to allow a win parity between all players. Although this idea is justified by the poker sites, it is inherently wrong to purposely allow certain players to lose just because they had ‘won too many hands’.
In the case the of Absolute Poker scandal, the cheating player had access to the hole cards through a sophisticated back door program and help from a former employee of Absolute. In that case, the player was able to win more than 95% of all hands dealt in the tournament. He, of course, won the tournament. However, it was discovered later through an external investigation by players that he had cheated.
This prompted online poker sites to install a subroutine that actually would PREVENT players from winning too many hands! After all, their justification is that mathematically no one person could win 95% of all hands. In reality that is correct, however, using a computer program to purposely deal out a bad beat or losing hand just because a player has won what the program believes is too many hands is tantamount to the poker site cheating YOU!
The equitable distribution of winning hands is not only unfair to players, it also affects the actual skill level of poker players and alters the actual ability of a good player to consistently win. After all, if Full Tilt can maintain an average of players winning, they are able to prevent cheating, collect additional rake and keep players depositing.
There really is no ‘conspiracy theory’ involved and those that claim Full Tilt poker is rigged are not a minority of losing players, it is a fact that additional algorithms are used to alter the true play of the game.
So how can one beat the secret poker algorithms and avoid full tilt poker bad beats? One method is to carefully watch the play, learn how the algorithms distribute wins and play accordingly.
